The Upper Town Eighth of August Events

         Thursday, August 7th

  • Hotel Metropolitan will be open to public, 11a.m. - 7p.m.

  • History of Upper Town, (Family Fun) 6p.m-10p.m. Speakers, Civil War re-enactors, vendors, entrainment and Games. Will be held in lot across from Hotel Metropolitan

          Friday, August 8th

  • Hotel Metropolitan Open to public, 11a.m. – 5p.m.
     
  • The Upper Town Annual Fish Fry 11a.m- 2p.m. & 6p.m.
  • The Kentucky Commission on Human Rights Lunch12-1p.m.
    Family fun and vendors across from the Hotel Metropolitan 6p.m. - 9p.m.
  • Reception for KCHR, 7p.m.

    Saturday, August, 9
     
  • Hotel Metropolitan Open to public 11pm.-5p.m. Vendors and fellowship
     
  • Fish Fry 11a.m. -6p.m.
    •

Vendor Information

If you are interested in becoming a vendor at the Eighth of August 2008 Heritage Festival, please fill out the application below or call (270) 442-1772 for more information.

Booth sizes are 10' wide by 20' deep and rent for $55 a day or $150 for all three days (Thursday, Friday and Saturday). Prime booth locations are offered on a first come, first serve basis. Applications are due on or before July 25, 2008.

Music, city police patrol, first-aid and a welcome center will be provided. Electricity is available upon request

Vendors will be responsible for setup, city permits (if necessary) and keeping the area clean. We ask that everyone be respectful of each other and obey the ground rules.

Non Profit Organizations are eligible for a 10% discount on booth rental.
