Greetings! We are happy to inform you that the Hotel Metropolitan is near completion. Thank you for your support of the project over the years. The Upper Town Heritage Foundation (UTHF), a (501c3) organization, is seeking your assistance with financial, goods and service donations for our annual fund-raising event.

This event will be held August 7^th - 9^th, during Paducah’s popular Eighth of August Celebration. Your help is needed to enable us to continue our efforts with the Hotel Metropolitan Museum Project. Listed below are the events that will be open to the public, people to contact for more information and the address to send your donation.

This year’s events will include:

• Hotel Metropolitan will be open to public, 11a.m. - 7p.m.
• History of Upper Town, (Family Fun) 6p.m -10p.m. There will be speakers, Civil War re-enactors, venders, music and Games. This event will be held in the lot across from Hotel Metropolitan

• Hotel Metropolitan Open to public, 11a.m. - until?
• The Upper Town Annual Fish Fry, 11a.m - 2p.m. & 6p.m. -9p.m.
• The Kentucky Commission on Human Rights Lunch, 12p.m. -1p.m.
• Family fun across from the Hotel Metropolitan, 6p.m. - 10p.m.
• Reception for KCHR. Commissioner William Turner will talk about Big House Gaines.

• Hotel Metropolitan Open to public 11a.m. - 5p.m., featuring a special and Dennis Biddle of Negro Baseball League
• Fish Fry, 11a.m. - 6p.m.
• Exhibit
• Family fun 1p.m - until?
